The Continuing Studies Department at Emily Carr University of Art + Design is seeking experienced animators, visual effects artists, character designers, technical artists, producers, and project leads to join our team of instructors. 

We encourage individuals with expertise and practices prioritizing one or more of the following Animation skills to apply:

Successful applicants will be added to our pool of Continuing Studies educators who are contracted per term. 

ECU Continuing studies adult and/or youth individual courses are scheduled per term, once per week on weekday evenings and/or weekends, and may be offered in person or online. Continuing Studies instructors are contracted to teach at an hourly rate of $76.00.

Position Qualifications:
Individuals should have a degree and/or professional experience in Animation, VFX, and/or Technical Arts, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference is given to those with prior experience and demonstrated passion for teaching at a post-secondary level. Master’s degree is preferred but not required.  We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:
